CookPot’s Kitchen: tonight’s dinner, bean and guacamole tacos, with Cook, Another and Kept beside it

It's six o'clock. The fridge is full of good intentions, the spinach won't last another day, one of you is keto and someone won't touch mushrooms. And you're the one deciding dinner. Again.

CookPot knows what's in your kitchen and who's at your table, and hands you one dinner that fits both.

An evening with CookPot

  1. Snap it. I'll know it.

    Receipt, fridge or pantry shelf.

Snap a receipt at the till, the bags on the counter, the fridge or a pantry shelf. I read it and keep track of what you have and how long each thing will last. Or just tell me: "we're out of eggs", "got corn at the market".

CookPot’s Pantry: the foods in the kitchen, grouped by shelf, with the days each has left
  2. Tonight, decided.

From what you have, using first what won't keep.

Open the app and one dinner is waiting, made from what you already have, using first what won't keep, with a side when it wants one. Tap Cook, or Another for something different. If it needs something you already have, tap I have it; if not, it goes on the list.

Play one evening: a receipt read, tonight’s dinner, then cooking it. 25 seconds, no sound.
  3. Fits everyone at the table.

Allergies, diets and dislikes, person by person.

Tell me who eats here: each person's allergies, their diet, keto, the foods they won't eat. Every dinner respects all of it. I never guess that a food is safe for an allergy; I leave it out.

  4. I keep the clock.

One step at a time, with timers that ring.

One step at a time, with timers that ring even when your phone is locked. While the rice simmers, I tell you what you can get on with.
